Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and improve multi-region AWS resiliency and failover solutions for enterprise applications.
• Analyze existing AWS architectures and identify opportunities to reduce application failover and recovery time.
• Develop and support highly available and resilient AWS infrastructure across multiple regions.
• Work with engineering and SRE teams to implement disaster recovery, failover, recovery automation, and resiliency strategies.
• Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation YAML.
• Develop, modify, and maintain automation used to support AWS resiliency and failover processes.
• Troubleshoot AWS infrastructure and application resiliency issues and recommend appropriate architectural improvements.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, DevOps, and SRE teams to improve reliability and recovery capabilities.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience as an AWS Architect, Cloud Architect, SRE, or Senior AWS Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with multi-region AWS architecture and resiliency implementation.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation using YAML.
• Experience with Amazon EC2, ECS, Route 53, Load Balancers, Lambda, SQS, S3, EFS, and RDS.
• Strong understanding of AWS high availability, disaster recovery, failover, replication, and application resiliency.
• Experience working with RTO, RPO, recovery strategies, and automated failover is highly desirable.

Programming Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of Python.
• Ability to read, understand, troubleshoot, and modify existing Python-based resiliency automation.

Experience using Python for AWS automation and infrastructure operations is preferred.

Certification

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional is required.
